Why use a comforter?

When can I introduce a comforter?
Comforters are suitable for little ones up to around age four. If introducing before six months, we recommend securing it to bedding or a sleep sack using a safety-lock pin. You can also hold it against your skin for a few hours beforehand to transfer a familiar scent.
